The Rosenberg Diamonds ring collection spans the full range of natural diamond jewelry: solitaire engagement rings, three-stone designs, halos, eternity bands, and statement cocktail rings. Every piece begins with a single hand-selected stone — graded by the Gemological Institute of America for the 4Cs (cut, color, clarity, carat) — then matched to a setting in our New York atelier.
Stones range from D Flawless white diamonds to natural Fancy Vivid color grades (yellow, pink, blue, green). Carat weights run from just under one carat for delicate everyday rings to flagship pieces above 30 carats. We work primarily in platinum and 18kt gold — platinum for its density and neutrality on white diamonds, yellow gold to amplify warmth on fancy color stones.
Every ring sold here is hand-fabricated, signed by David Rosenberg, and accompanied by its GIA grading report. No lab-grown stones, no enhanced color, no clarity-treated diamonds — only natural, untreated material.

How GIA Grades a Diamond for a Ring
The Gemological Institute of America assigns each natural diamond four independent grades. Cut measures how well the stone returns light — graded Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, or Poor on round brilliants; fancy shapes (oval, cushion, radiant, emerald, pear, marquise, heart, asscher) are evaluated on polish and symmetry rather than a cut grade. Color runs D (colorless) through Z (light yellow or brown); beyond Z, stones enter the Fancy Color scale and are graded separately by hue, tone, and saturation. Clarity spans Flawless and Internally Flawless down through VVS1/VVS2, VS1/VS2, SI1/SI2, and the I grades, based on inclusions visible under 10x magnification.
For an engagement or anniversary ring, the practical sweet spot for most buyers is a G–H color in VS1–VS2 clarity with Excellent cut — face-up colorless to the naked eye, eye-clean inclusions, maximum brilliance. Investment and high-jewelry pieces typically demand D–F color in Flawless to VVS clarity, where rarity drives price exponentially above 3 carats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all of your diamond rings GIA certified?
Yes. Every center stone above 0.30 carats is accompanied by an original GIA grading report. We deal exclusively in natural, untreated diamonds — no lab-grown, no HPHT-enhanced color, no fracture-filled clarity.
What is the difference between platinum and 18kt gold for a diamond ring?
Platinum is denser, more neutral, and naturally white — it lets a colorless diamond read at its truest. 18kt yellow or rose gold introduces warmth that suppresses color in colorless stones but amplifies saturation in fancy color diamonds. Many of our rings combine both: a platinum head holding the diamond, with gold shoulders or shank.
How much should I budget for a diamond ring?
Entry-level natural diamond rings start in the low four figures. A 1-carat round brilliant in G/VS Excellent cut typically falls in the five-figure range. Above 3 carats, prices rise exponentially with quality — a D Flawless 5-carat is a six-figure piece. Pricing is provided on request for every ring in this collection.
Can I customize a ring around a specific diamond?
Yes. Most of our clients begin by selecting a center stone, then design the setting around it. David Rosenberg works directly with you on metal, head style, shoulder design, pavé, and engraving. Lead time on a custom piece is typically 4–6 weeks.
