Commitment to Conflict-Free Diamonds
All our diamonds are sourced from legitimate, conflict-free origins in compliance with The United Nations resolutions. Each diamond we sell is certified under the World Diamond Council’s System of Warranties Guidelines, and we require all our suppliers to do the same.
Rosenberg Diamonds & Co., LLC strictly prohibits the purchase or trade of diamonds originating from individuals or entities listed as Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDNBP), pursuant to the U.S. Department of Treasury’s OFAC regulations. This warranty is made in accordance with the Diamond Source Warranty Protocol, Release No. 5.0, and all suppliers are required to confirm that their diamonds are free from such origin.
Policy on Synthetic and Treated Diamonds
Rosenberg Diamonds & Co., LLC does not purchase, sell, or trade in synthetic diamonds, HPHT diamonds, or diamonds that have undergone any treatment. We have implemented strict protocols to ensure that such materials do not enter our supply chain or inventory. We also require all our business partners to take active measures to ensure the same.
Support of the Kimberley Process (KP)
We proudly support the Kimberley Process (KP), a collaborative initiative among governments, industry, and civil society established in 2000. KP works to eliminate conflict diamonds from global trade and to protect communities in conflict-affected areas, enabling conditions for sustainable development.
The KP defines conflict diamonds as “rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance wars against legitimate governments.” Its core mechanism is the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which mandates that international shipments of rough diamonds must be accompanied by a valid KP certificate, issued by an authorized KP authority.
While the KPCS applies specifically to rough diamonds, it is reinforced by the World Diamond Council’s System of Warranties, which covers all stages of the diamond supply chain—including polished stones and jewelry. Any rough diamonds found without appropriate KP documentation are seized by customs, and alerts are issued to all KP Participants.
